The Legacy Project

The final total of monies raised for rhe Legacy Project woth the Scouts is now confirmed as £160,000.

On Wednesday 13th July 2016 at Skreens Park Activity Centre in Roxwell Nr Chelmsford, the RW Provincial Grand Master Rodney Lister Bass made a presentation of £145,000 to Essex Scouts. This donation was a result of the Appeal to Freemasons in Essex for a legacy project for the youth in the county of Essex. The money will be used to bulid an aerial runway activity system at Skreens Park. This facility will be availaible for all the Scouts and other youth groups who use Skreens Park as well as others.

It is anticiated that this system will be completed in the spring/summer of 2017. There will be a formal opening of the system when it is completed.

The balance of the monies raised, £15,000, will be given to Essex Scouts to use for match funded projects around the other centres in Essex.
